«Today Art Initiative» կազմակերպությունը ս/թ հոկտեմբերին կազմակերպեց հանդիպում-քննարկում Սիրիայից կամ Լիբանանից հայրենիք վերադարձած հայերի հետ, ում նախնիները սերում են Կիլիկյան Հայաստանից ու ունեն հիշողություններ արտագաղթի տարիների և Կիլիկիայի ասեղնագործության ու ժանեկագործության մոռացվող ձևերի մասին: Մասնակիցները եկել էին Կիլիկիայի տարբեր քաղաքներից (Այնթապ, Մարաշ, Ուրֆա և այլն): Նրանք բերել էին հիշողություններ, հետաքրքիր պատմություններ անցյալից, լուսանկարներ, ձեռագործ աշխատանքների նմուշներ նախնիներից, որոնք անցել էին արտագաղթի դժվարին ու երկար ճանապարհը: Նաև ցուցադրվեցին մասնակիցների աշխատանքները, որոնք կրում էին Կիլիկայի ասեղնագործության ու ժանեկագործության ավանդույթները և առանձնահատկությունները: Նրանք այս տեխնիկաները փոխանցում են նոր սերնդին՝ պահպանելով հայկական մշակույթի կարևորագույն ձևերից մեկը: Հանդիպմանը առցանց տեսակապով միացավ նաև նախագծի միջազգային հետազոտող Էֆֆի Սամարան (Գլասգոյի համալսարան)՝ հիշողությունների բացահայտման իր մեթոդաբանությամբ ու զրուցեց գրեթե բոլոր մասնակիցների հետ` ուսումնասիրելով նաև ներկայացված նյութերը: Համայնքային հանդիպման ավարտին, նախագծի ղեկավար Լիլիթ Ստեփանյանը բոլոր մասնակիցներին հանձնեց շնորհակալագրեր՝ մասնակցության, հայկական մշակույթի պահպանման ու տարածման համար : Քննարկումը տեղի ունեցավ "#Պարիաներ. Իրագործելով Եվրոպայի պատմական հիշողությունը" նախագծի շրջանակներում, Creative Europe ծրագրի կողմից համաֆինանսավորված, որը նպատակ ունի բացահայտել #մարգինալացված անհատների չպատմված, հավաքական հիշողությունները, ովքեր ձևավորել են համայնքը և աստիճանաբար ձևավորել նրա պատմական հիշողությունը: Նախաձեռնության աջակից կառույցն է «Հալեպ» հայրենակցական բարեսիրական ՀԿ-ն:
In October of 2023, "Today Art Initiative" organised a meeting-discussion with Armenians who returned from Syria or Lebanon, whose ancestors come from Cilician Armenia and have memories of the years of emigration and forgotten forms of Cilician needlework and lace-making. The participants came from different cities of Cilicia (Ayntab, Marash, Urfa, etc.). They brought memories, interesting stories from the past, photographs, samples of handicrafts from their ancestors which had passed the difficult and long journey of emigration. The participants also showed their works, which carried the traditions and characteristics of Cilician needlework and lace making. They transform these techniques to the new generation, preserving one of the most important forms of Armenian culture. The project's international researcher Effie Samara (University of Glasgow) a joined the online meeting , with her methodology of uncovering memories and talked with almost all the participants, investigating the presented materials as well. At the end of the community meeting, Lilit Stepanyan, the project manager of #Pariahs, handed over certificates of appreciation to all the participants for their participation, preservation and dissemination of Armenian culture. The discussion takes place within the framework of the project '#Pariahs: Performing Europe's Historical Memory,' which is funded by the Creative Europe programme and aims to reveal the unspoken and collective memories of #marginalised people who unintentionally shaped the community and gradually sculpted its historical memory. The supporting partner of the initiative is the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization - NGO.

«Today Art Initiative » կազմակերպությունը չորեքշաբթի օրը՝ հոկտեմբերի 4-ին, կազմակերպում է հանդիպում-քննարկում, որին հրավիրվում են Սիրիայից կամ Լիբանանից հայրենիք վերադարձած հայեր, ովքեր ունեն նախնիներ Կիլիկյան Հայաստանից, ու կցանկանան վերհիշել ու պատմել հիշողություններ արտագաղթի մասին, կխոսեն Կիլիկիայի ասեղնագործության ու ժանեկագործության մոռացվող ձևերի մասին :

Are you from Syria or Lebanon, or do you have ancestors from Ayntab or Cilician Armenia?
"Today Art Initiative" organisation is organising a meeting-discussion on Wednesday, October 4, where Armenians who have returned to their homeland from Syria or Lebanon and have ancestors from Cilician Armenia, will be invited to recollect the memories , talk about the years of exile and the forgotten forms of Cilician embroidery and lace making.
The discussion takes place within the framework of the project '#Pariahs: Performing Europe's Historical Memory,' which is funded by the Creative Europe programme and aims to reveal the unspoken and collective memories of #marginalised people who unintentionally shaped the community and gradually sculpted its historical memory.

"Pariahs: Performing Europe's Historical Memory" is an interdisciplinary, creative project that uses community-based activities and artistic practices to unearth communities' unspoken and collective memories of marginalised individuals who unintentionally shaped these communities and gradually sculpted historical memory.
